Announcements/New Business

There was some discussion about the December Meeting and the it was decided that we would wait for Justine's return to find out what will be decided for December.

There was no other business.

November Workshop

The November workshop was a "window pane" afghan led by Mary. Mary very patiently showed us how to create a window pane effect using two colors which would produce a lovely, reversible afghan. Mary showed us her sample along with two finished afghans using a solid color yarn and a variegated yarn to produce a colorful showpiece.

Everyone was provided an instruction sheet to produce a small swatch. This technique proved to be both simple and enjoyable not to mention produced a lovely fabric.

Show -n- Tell:

From the many talented folks in the group, we saw the following:

Jean: A hat that was made for "Hats for Kids" which is a charity sponsored by Eastside Chat & Chain.

A dorset button

An adorable thread bib made with Optima 10 thread and a pattern from Annie's Attic.

A pineapple bookmark which was done in a recent CGOPS workshop

A swatch for a reversible shell pattern.

Carmella: A hat/scarf set made with worsted-weight off-white yarn.

Clare: WIP - "Old T-shirt" rug which she started last month made from strips cut from retired t-shirts.
