MINUTES OF APRIL MEETING
April 23, 2006
Linda lead our
meeting. In attendance: Linda Yew, Josie Addington,
Jean Becker, Jan Ives, Carmella Patterson, Justine Ozaki, Rita Stockwell, Merrily Clark, Claire Cronkleton and Nancy Peterson.
Welcome to our visitor: Jackie Willimon.
New Business
We had a discussion on workshops for the coming months. Linda volunteered to do the May workshop on broomsick lace. If you have a broomstick needle
bring it or you can borrow one at the meeting. Future workshops: Jean’s repurpose sweater capelet,
Justine’s eyelash bucket bag and personalized name tags to wear at meetings.
Old Business
Linda thanked
Justine for quickly finding a new location for our meetings at the Fiber Gallery.
Discussion on
our guild’s benefits to join CGOA. We decided the guild will join so we get the web listing
of being affiliated with the national guild. Claire will sign us up online. Linda will join CGOA as an individual member – Jean, Justine and Josie are members. Biggest benefit is you get Crochet! magazine as part of your membership.
Linda has ordered
our business cards.
We have $110 in our treasury at this time.
Josie volunteered
to draft the by-laws for our guild. They will be available on our website to browse before
the next meeting. We can vote on acceptance next meeting.
